Lemon Poppy Seed Cake
I love poppy seeds and lemons and so I love this cake. It has such a fresh and fruity taste and even tastes great the next day, but it rarely lasts that long ;) A really delicious dessert that is easy and quick to prepare - an absolute recommendation.

Ingredients
1 Kastenform- 105 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g flour
- 100 g almonds (grated)
- 1½ tsps baking powder
- 40 g Poppy Seed
- 100 ml oil
- 25 ml milk
- 2 lemons
Instructions

Place the sugar and eggs in a mixing bowl and beat for 7-8 minutes until frothy.

100 g almonds (grated)

1½ tsps baking powder

40 g Poppy Seed
Weigh the dry ingredients into a separate bowl and mix together.

25 ml milk
Mix the liquid ingredients and set aside. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 °C top-lower heat.

Grate the zest of the lemons and squeeze the juice. Pour into a container.

Fold the dry and liquid ingredients alternately into the egg mixture. Fold in half of the lemon juice and zest as well. Pour into a loaf tin and bake at 180 °C for 30-35 minutes.

5 g sugar
In the meantime, mix the remaining lemon juice with the sugar, pour over the baked cake and leave to cool.
