Recipe: Apple Pie

Apple Pie

Served with a little sweet cinnamon cream, the soft fluffy apple pie tastes good to young and old. A welcome guest at the weekend coffee party.

Ingredients

Serves 8

Instructions

    • 3 eggs
    • 20 g sugar
    • 1 pinch of salt

    Prepare an 18 cm diameter cake tin. Separate the egg yolks and whites and put them in separate bowls. Whisk the egg whites with the salt and stir in the sugar. Beat until stiff and set aside.

    • 180 g butter (soft)
    • 80 g sugar

    Put the softened butter in another bowl and beat with a mixer for 3 minutes. Add the sugar and beat for another 2 minutes. Gradually stir the egg yolks into the mixture.

    • 180 g wheat flour
    • 100 ml milk
    • ½ pack baking powder

    Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Fold the beaten egg whites, milk and flour mixture alternately into the mixture.

    • 2 apples
    • ½ lemon
    • 2 tbsps almonds

    Peel the apples and cut into pieces, mix with lemon juice and chop the almonds. Pour the cake mixture into the greased or baking paper-lined tin and cover with the apple pieces and almonds. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven at 180° C top/bottom heat.
