Gnocchi with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

Serves 4

Instructions

    • 1 onion
    • 4 branches basil

    Finely dice the onion and chop the basil stems.

    • olive oil
    • 800 g canned tomatoes
    • salt
    • pepper

    Heat the olive oil in a pot, add the onion and about ¾ of the basil and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Add the tomatoes. Reduce to a low simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and the remaining basil.

  1. When the sauce is almost ready, put the gnocchi into the boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes (until they float to the surface). Serve with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese.

Tip

  • We recommend making the gnocchi yourself. Homemade gnocchi taste much better than store-bought ones and are great to make in large quantities and then keep in the freezer.
