Marble Cake
A slice of this simple, fluffy marble cake makes you forget all your worries. At least that's how I feel. When I taste it, childhood memories of past birthday parties are awakened.
Ingredients
1 Kastenform- 4 eggs
- 120 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 100 ml milk
- 200 g flour
- ½ pack baking powder
- 2 tbsps cocoa powder
- salt

40 g sugar
Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff. Put the egg yolks in a separate bowl.

80 g sugar
Put the butter in a bowl and beat with a mixer for 3 minutes. Add the sugar and beat for another 2 minutes. Gradually stir the egg yolks into the mixture. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

50 ml milk

½ pack baking powder

Stir in the milk as well. Weigh out the flour and mix with the baking powder. Fold in the flour and egg whites alternately.

2 tbsps cocoa powder
Pour one third of the batter into a cake tin. Mix the other part with cocoa powder and the remaining milk. Pour onto the light batter and create the typical marble pattern with a fork. Bake for 50 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °C.
